We are Andrea and Roland Herzog, two photo enthusiasts from Munich who made it to the far north many years ago. Hamburg is our home, starting point of our photo tours and also the birthplace of our travel blog Eyeland Traveller.
Travelling is a great enrichment for us. Every country, every culture teaches us stories written by real life and leads us to inspiring places. The distance to the destination is not relevant. It is much more important to encounter new things with open eyes and to discover particularities of details. Sharing our experiences with photos and stories is a matter close to our hearts. That is why we decided to create our platform Eyeland Traveller.
By the way: “In real life”, we’re freelancers. Roland works as a freelance photo designer (rolandherzog.com), Andrea as a freelance IT manager. Roland is photographer with heart and soul and therefore leading in the fields of photography and post production on Eyeland Traveller. Andrea has many years of experience as a journalist (including newspapers such as Die Welt / Welt am Sonntag, Hamburger Abendblatt, Lübecker Nachrichten etc.). That’s why she takes care of stories and travel reports as well as their editorial preparation.
